About the Journal

The Journal of Mountain Research is a prestigious international scholarly publication dedicated to advancing research and knowledge related to mountain regions worldwide. It is a peer-reviewed and cross-referred journal, ensuring high-quality and impactful content.

Published by the Society for Himalayan Action Research and Development (SHARAD), affiliated with H.N.B Garhwal University (A Central University), B.G.R Campus Pauri, Garhwal, Uttarakhand, India.


Publication Frequency

Established in December 2006, the journal was initially published annually until 2020. Since 2021, the Journal of Mountain Research has transitioned to a bi-annual publication schedule, appearing in June and December each year. This increased frequency allows for more timely dissemination of research findings.
